Soft Machine's fourth album, Fourth, is reviewed where the band really moves in the direction of jazz. On Fourth, the psychedelia and rock in general of the previous albums is a thing of the past, as are the Dadaist lyrics of drummer/vocalist Robert Wyatt, as the album is entirely instrumental.
